• Are your ciders all natural and gluten free?
    • Yes, all ciders are 100% all natural and entirely gluten free!
  • Do you add sugar to your ciders?
    • We sweeten with both fresh juice and juice concentrates.
  • Are your ciders organic?
    • We are committed to organic farming practices but not all of our cider apples are certified organic. Therefore, we only label our USDA Organic hard cider as such. Dry and crisp, it pairs well with almost anything, use our Cider Finder to search a location near you.
  • Is there yeast in your cider?
    • Yes, all of our ciders contain yeast as part if the fermentation process. Our yeasts are wild and champagne types.
  • What apples are used in your ciders?
    • We use a variety of cider apples to make our ciders. They include Bittersharp varieties like Bramley’s Seedling, Kingston Black, Stoke Red, Wickson Crab and Hew’s Crab. We also use Bittersweet varieties like Dabinett, Harry Masters Jersey and Yarlington Mill. Sharp varieties include Harrison, Golden Russet, Ashmead’s Kernel and Esopus Spitzenberg and Sweets varieties like Northern Spy, Cox’s Orange Pippin and Baldwin. Lastly we use dessert apples for blending like Jonagold, Pinova, Winter Banana and Pink Ladies.
  • What is the alcohol content of your ciders?
    • Our core 7 bottled ciders are at 6.9% ABV. Our draft ciders are 6.5% ABV, Perry is 5.5% ABV, Cidermaker’s Reserve is 8% ABV, Tieton Frost is 11% ABV and Tieton Wind is 16% ABV.
  • Do you use sulphites?
    • Yes, we use sulphites as an antioxidant and color stabilizer.
  • Are your cider’s sweet?
    • None of our ciders are sweet styles of cider with the exception of our Ice Wine style, Tieton Frost. Our Blossom Nectar is the sweetest tasting of our ciders and is considered a Semi-Sweet style.
  • Is your Cherry and Apricot cider made from just Cherries and Apricots?
    • No, all of our ciders are made from apples. After the fermentation process, we add cherry or apricot juice to add the fruit flavor.
  • What Hops do you use in your Dry Hopped Cider?
    • We use 3 types of hops from the Yakima Valley: Cascade, Palisade and Fuggle.
  • When are you open?
    • The winter hours for the cider bar are Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 4pm-8pm, Fridays & Saturdays Noon-9pm, and Sundays noon to 5pm.
  • Where are you located?
    • We are at 619 West J Street in Yakima WA. From northbound 16th street take a right onto Hathaway street, which is just before the Chevron station. You will go past Elk’s Park on your left. At the end of the park, take a left onto North 8th Avenue and Tieton Cider Works will be just ahead.
  • Is your Cider Bar handicapped accessible?
    • Yes it is.
  • Are Children and minors allowed in the Cider Bar?
    • Yes, they are with a parent.
  • Are dogs allowed inside the Cider Bar?
    • Only if they are guide dogs. We ask that you please not bring your pet dogs into the cider bar. They can absolutely roam outdoors.
  • Do you serve food?
    • We offer some small bar snacks, but if you would like to bring food or order a pizza to be delivered, please feel free. For certain events we will have a taco truck, wood fired pizza or BBQ available for purchase.
  • Can you rent the Cider Bar for private events?
    • Yes! You can rent the entire space at $200.00 per hour at select times. This includes tap cider pouring service. Or you can also rent just the conference room any day of the week for $100.00 per hour. No tap cider pouring service included.
  • Do you offer tours?
    • Yes, we will do a group tour if you call in advance to schedule the tour and tasting. Please call us at 509-571-1430, ext 108 or [email protected]. Depending on the size of your group, there will be a per person charge for the tour and tasting. Please call for rates and information.
  • Do you sell your cider to-go in the Cider Bar?
    • Yes, we have canned and bottled ciders available for purchase. We also offer growlers and growlets for purchase.
  • Is there a cost to join the Cider Club?
    • There is no cost to join. We ship to our cider club members 4 times a year, seasonally. Rootstock supply of 6 bottles costs between $29.00 and $40.00(depending on release) plus shipping and with a Harvest membership you will receive 12 bottles.
  • How do you join the Cider Club?
    • You can fill out your membership online here. Or you can fill out a form in our Cider Bar.
  • Can I pick up my Cider Club shipments from the Cider Bar?
    • Yes! Just fill out pick up when applying.
  • Can I give a Cider Club membership as a gift?
    • Yes you can, as long as they are 21 and reside in the states we can ship to.
  • Can I purchase cider and have it shipped without joining the Cider Club?
  • Do you make non-alcoholic apple ciders?
    • No we do not. We do offer non-alcoholic juice in the Cider Bar for minors and non drinkers.
  • Do you make apple cider vinegar?
    • No we do not. This is a very specialized process that we do not have the equipment for.
